United
Basket Company was formed in 1945 in Brooklyn, New York. The
Company's founder, Max Hanfling, immediately began importing
from European sources located in basket producing regions of
Poland, Yugoslavia and Portugal.
In 1974, Max's son Phil joined the Company. He became President
in 1978 and remains the CEO today.
In 1979, United Basket embarked on an expansion plan and began
importing from Hong Kong, China and the Philippines. The Company
also expanded its line of merchandise to include furniture and
designer baskets.
Now over sixty years since its humble beginnings, United Basket
is still known as a primary source for high quality baskets
and wicker furniture.
We are also beginning to import ceramic bowls, trays and jars
for the packaging industry.
United Basket's account base now numbers over 5,000 active customers.
We participate at the New York Gift Show, The Basket Connection,
The Philadelphia National Candy Show and the Fancy Food &
Confection Show.
United Basket invites you to visit our 56,000 square foot facility
in Maspeth, New York and our booth's at the various trade shows.
